Have your say- Developing a new National Long-Term Care Services Standard!

by

CAN/HSO 21001:2022 (E) Long-Term Care Services – Public Review

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC), Health Standards Organization (HSO) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA Group) are working collaboratively on developing two new national standards for LTC that will be shaped by the needs and voices of Canada’s LTC home residents, workforce, local communities, as well as broader members of the public.

The standards will address the delivery of safe, reliable and high-quality LTC services as well as the operation and infection prevention and control practices in LTC homes.

The public review of HSO’s new Long-Term Care Services standard is taking place between January 27th and March 27th, 2022.

This is an opportunity for anyone to review and comment on the draft standard before it is published. HSO’s Technical Committee will review all public review feedback and incorporate applicable feedback into the final standard. The standard will be reviewed and updated again five years after publication.
