TCA opportunity to join our Board of Directors

Are you “retired” or “interested in aging” and looking for ways to give back to your community? If yes, join us!

The Toronto Council on Aging (TCA) is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and committed individuals who share a passion for enhancing the lives of Toronto’s older adult community. The TCA is governed by an intergenerational 15-person volunteer Board of Directors.

About the Organization

The TCA is a charitable non-profit organization, one of many Councils on Aging across Ontario and Canada. We providie leadership and education to enhance the experience of aging and to encourage age-inclusive policies and practices in Toronto’s workplaces, services, organizations, and neighbourhoods. Our work centres on a shared vision for a community that respects, values, and empowers its older adults and provides them with opportunities to participate fully in their community. Promoting an Inclusive Board

The TCA strives to have a Board that mirrors the diversity of Toronto. We strongly encourage those persons with the following lived experiences to consider applying: LGBTQI2S+, Newcomers to Canada, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, People with Disabilities, Diverse socio-economic backgrounds

Time Commitment

Directors on the Board make a commitment to serving a three-year term. TCA is a working volunteer board with a monthly time commitment of 20 hours.
