A Toronto where seniors are connected, influential and celebrated.
Join us in creating lasting change for older adults
TCA is...
The Toronto Council on Aging (TCA) is a charitable non-profit organization which was incorporated in 1999 as a multi-generational, non-profit, charitable organization, addressing the issues and concerns of older adults in Toronto. The TCA is committed to aiding in the development of an age-inclusive city by building collaborative networks dedicated to empowering and celebrating the strengths and contributions of Toronto’s seniors and showcasing their influence and experiences.
Our Vision: A Toronto where seniors are connected, influential and celebrated.
Our Mission: The TCA strives to showcase and enhance the power and contribution of seniors through celebration and connection.
The TCA is governed by an intergenerational 15-person volunteer Board of Directors (half below 55 and half 55+) and powered by TCA Volunteers who participate in TCA initiatives and spread the word about the strength and contribution of older adults in Toronto.
Seniors are Doing It

Land Acknowledgment
The Toronto Council on Aging acknowledges that we reside on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This land is covered by Treaty 13, signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties, signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
As TCA engages in celebrating and empowering older adults we remember that in many Indigenous cultures, Elders are deeply respected—valued as knowledge keepers, mentors, and leaders. May we be inspired by this perspective as we work toward building a more inclusive, age-friendly future—one that honours both the wisdom of our seniors and the diverse histories of the land we gather on.
