A celebration of creativity, courage, and second acts

The Toronto Council on Aging is pleased to share an upcoming community event that celebrates creativity and the vibrant spirit of older adults.
Silver Screamers is a heartwarming and spine-tingling documentary that follows a spirited group of older adults who set out to create their own horror film. Guided by a local filmmaker, the group steps far outside their comfort zones as they navigate the challenges of low-budget movie-making with humour, resilience, and a sense of adventure.
Along the way, they discover newfound confidence, build meaningful friendships, and demonstrate that creativity truly has no age limit. The film is a joyful celebration of community, reinvention, and the power of trying something new.
