The Toronto Council on Aging (TCA) is pleased to share the following research opportunity from the Geriatric Mental Health Services department at CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health).
About the Study
CAMH is currently recruiting participants for a study exploring the use of nature-based virtual reality (VR) to support individuals experiencing depression in the context of Alzheimer’s disease.
The study aims to better understand how immersive, nature-based experiences may contribute to mental well-being in older adults.
Participation Details
Who can participate: Adults aged 50+ living with Alzheimer’s disease and experiencing depressive symptoms
Format: Conducted at home
Duration:
15-minute sessions
Twice a week for 4 weeks
Additional activities: Short questionnaires and use of simple wearable devices
Compensation: Provided
